Addendum: About that PnuVax thing….

The headline reads: Ottawa passed over private sector plans to produce a COVID-19 vaccine domestically.

PnuVax? Who’s that?

This is as close to a blank holding webpage as I have seen for a company. And their PR/Latest News page is a joke! https://www.pnuvax.com/PR/

But wait, what’s this? SaudiVax? Huh. Interesting name they have. https://saudivax.com/

Oh:

“SaudiVax is a partner of PnuVax, an internationally known US based vaccine and therapeutic antibody company.”

(As far as I can tell, PnuVax only has two locations in Canada. Montreal and Kingston. Nothing in the US. Moving on….)

PnuVax Founder and CEO Dr. Donald Gerson is co-founder of SaudiVax. And look who else is a co-founder, Eng. Jonas Elliott Gerson. Huh. That last name sounds familiar.

It’s curious that the SaudiVax website is much more informative than the PnuVax website. (A blank piece of paper is as informative as the PnuVax website…)

If I were looking for a Canadian company to “produce a COVID-19 vaccine domestically,” I wouldn’t pick a company with a barren Canadian web presence that also has a more prominent Saudi Arabian web presence. I wouldn’t trust them with keeping my pet hamster safe.

Safe to say, some due diligence would be involved with contracting with PnuVax. Wouldn’t you agree?
