“Election day, was I happy this guy won? One hundred per cent I was”
Ontario Premier Doug Ford talking about Donald Trump winning the Presidency.
He said this while talking to Fire Fighters, wearing a T-shirt saying “We support those who support public safety.” We are in the absurd times, and this is particularly absurd.
Donald Trump promised during his campaign to “free” people convicted for their roles in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Promised to free the people convicted of assaulting police officers. Doug Ford supports that 100% while wearing a shirt saying, “We support those who support public safety.”
I know Doug Ford engages in hyperbole and exaggeration. But words matter. Words matter when they come from the Premier of Ontario. Words matter when he believes what he says at the time.
Because those words matter, when Doug Ford supports someone 100%, he supports everything they said and did. Especially the statements and actions of consequence.
And because Doug Ford is the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, every MPP serving under him, every party member, everyone that votes for him also supports everything Donald Trump says and does. Until they say otherwise, until they loudly denounce Doug Ford and Donald Trump, they are complicit in this support.
Assaulting Police Officers defending the capitol from Trump’s supporters?
Doug Ford is 100% happy with that. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is happy with that.

Doug Ford is 100% happy with that. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is happy with that.
Donald Trump promising to round up and forcibly deport 11 million people?
Doug Ford is 100% happy with that. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is happy with that.
Donald Trump pledging to impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico
Doug Ford is 100% happy with that. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is happy with that.
That one is darkly amusing by the way. Doug Ford was upset that the man he supports 100% did what he promised to do. I’ve long called Doug Ford an idiot, and, well this speaks for itself.
The awful sins of Donald Trump is a long list. This is only a beginning.
But the most damning of them all
Retired Marine Gen. John Kelly, Trump’s longest-serving chief of staff, said in an interview with The New York Times published on Oct. 22 that Trump “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist.”
If Donald Trump “certainly falls into the general definition of fascist” then someone that supports him 100% is also a fascist.
Therefore, Doug Ford, on top of being an idiot, is a fascist.
The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario is happy with that. And is a fascist party.
